"And the living shall take it to heart"

Devorah Leah Reiter

In Loving Memory

When faced with a grueling cancer diagnosis, Devorah Leah Reiter made a profound choice: to root her difficult journey in the mindset of Modeh Ani—waking up every single day with deep gratitude to Hashem for the gift of life. This constant thankfulness wasn't just a morning prayer for her; it became the absolute foundation of her unshakeable Emuna, Bitochon, and radiant Simcha.

Instead of turning inward during her tremendous pain, she turned her gratitude into action. She founded the Circle of Kindness, supporting dozens of families across Long Island battling serious illnesses. Even while undergoing treatments, Devorah Leah spent countless hours bringing light, meals, and comfort to others, teaching everyone that true thankfulness means sharing our light with the world.

"I want everyone to know the importance of living life with joy. It isn't easy but it's the only way. Yes, daven and say tehillim that all pain and suffering should end and that we should feel and see the good! But it must be with joy! And when we contemplate that Hashem created us and knows what's truly best for us then it's easy to be joyful. Because it means life is perfect."
A soul never truly leaves this world; it continues to shine through the good deeds of those left behind. By taking upon a Mitzvah, we keep her legacy alive. Every action we do is a tremendous zchus for the neshama of Devorah Leah Reiter, elevating her soul and bringing her light into our daily lives.
